Last weekend we took a little break from the city to visit family in Teignmouth. Our trips away there always seem to come at the perfect time, when we need a rest and a break from our routine and city life. The fresh sea air seems to calm, clarify and blow away worries and stresses and we can just enjoy the time as a family. There's always so much to see and do, but we seem to be drawn to the seafront on most visits, simply to have a walk and take in the views. This visit was no different and as we walked into town in the ever so slightly Spring tinged warm sunlight we all breathed a huge sigh of relief to be back.
But I'll share some more of our trip soon, because I wanted to share with you a look at my new glasses! Groundbreaking stuff I know. But it is exciting for me because as much as I didn't want to admit it I've needed glasses for a while, mainly for close up things, but for when my eyes get tired too. I've had a pair but I didn't like the look of them that much and as silly as that sounds that stopped me wearing them so much!
So when I saw that Glasses Direct had new range of London Retro glasses out I couldn't wait to try them out. I had a browse at the designer glasses in their new boutique section and ordered a few different frames to try for the free home trial.
This is what I really love about using this service as I find it so hard to imagine what styles would suit me. I loved (and still do!) my London retro sunglasses and really wanted to find a similar style to those as I know they suit my face. I ordered four different styles (I found hard it to narrow it down to just four!) and eagerly awaited their arrival. They arrived a few days after ordering and I tried them out for a couple of days before finally settling on the London Fairbanks in dark havana. It's safe to say I love them and I didn't think I'd ever say that about a pair of glasses. Sometimes I wish I had to wear them all the time (obviously I don't wish for my sight to be poorer!) as I really like the way they look. My other glasses felt quite bulky when I was wearing them, and I felt they got in the way of my vision a little bit but these frames seem to fit just right and I forget I'm wearing them most of the time!
I was surprised how quickly they arrived after ordering with my prescription and I've been really impressed with the quality too. If you need new glasses then you can get £30 off your first order by mentioning that I referred you, just by using my name (Abigail Oliver) when prompted. Just simply follow this link! Enjoy!
